Kenilworth, Mary valley

Kenilworth is a a small town with a population of 300, it is a small community with a small town feel, It is located in the Mary Valley. a great scenic place with great views. It also has a river called the mary river, the river flows through Maleny, then through Conondale, Kenilworth, Gympie, Tiaro, Maryborough, and then flowing into the sea opposite Frazer Island. A few good places to visit in kenilworth are the kenilworth homestead, they offer horse riding, swimming, canoeing, gold paning, theres wildlife spotting and of course camping. In kenilworth there is also a cheese and yoghurt factory, offering tours which are wortha visit.

Another great place to visit is the Borumba deer park, its located 2kms below lake borumba and 16kms from kenilworth, it is a working deer park offering unique family enjoyment, Lake borumba is a camping grounds with a dam plus forestry tracks. Great for a weekend escape.

You may also want to experiance the fig tree walk, it is 4kms on Maleny-Kenilworth Rd at Litlle Yabba Ck. Its a short boardwalk walk through impressive rainforest with giant fig trees, the walk is 1.5km and is wheelchair friendly.

  1. Make sure you visit the Cheese factory when you go to Kenilworth. you can taste some of the yummiest cheeses for free, and purchase some to take home.
